American General has introduced its newest innovation: A first of its kind term life product AIG Select-a-Term. In addition to the traditional 10,15,20 and 30 year periods your clients have 14 additional periods. They are 12,16,17,18,19,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28 and 29 years. AIG has also expanded issues ages. For example a 55 year old can now get 30 years of coverage. The full bulletin also contains information on lowering of premiums and their great disability income rider. It is approval for sale in most of the states that our brokers are active in but be sure to check your state is included. They have also just introduced a disability rider for LTG Ultra and ROP Term that requires no additional underwriting to be added to a submitted case. The rider is an exciting additional to an already great term insurance portfolio. The approval process is underway but some of the states we market in are not yet approved. We will have approval information at the agency and of course you can also check on the AIG/American General website. Have you reviewed the new IMG Patriot Student T.R.I.P. product. This plan is a trip cancellation plan similar to what travel agents would sell and is designed for students. Please note that this is not an international medical plan. Patriot Student T.R.I.P. can be written on domestic or foreign travel of at least 120 from the starting point. It's focus is on trip cancellation protection not medical expense although it does provide some emergency and medical expense coverage. The agency has a small number

Physicians Life has announced that it will be stop distributing its products through the independent brokerage system at the end of the year. This decision applies to their brokerage distributors nationwide. Their products are also being sold through a large captive field force and a direct marketing division. Apparently these two distribution channels will continue "as is". The Physicians Long Term Care products that brokers of The Brodsky Agency have sold over the years will continue to be serviced and have commissions paid. While we are disappointed in the Physicians decision we remain comfortable that the inforce Physicians Long Term Care products will serve the needs of each insured very well. (July 2006)
HPA now pays commissions twice a month. They mail the 1st check no later than the 10th and a second mailing no later than the 25th. You'll now be paid quicker on your HPA short term medical business. (June 2006)
Here's another brokerage first from The Brodsky Agency. Looking for something other than the usual trinkets you can give your customers as a token of your appreciation? I know that a free key chain doesn't quite have the same impact it once did. Edvantage is the answer. Edvantage is a customizable Loyalty Program and Advertising Website for individual Agents. Consumers get access to Special Discounts and Rebates at over 600 National Merchants and 6000 Restaurants. We don't know anyone else currently providing free high speed internet access for the insurance community. Our hotspot is waiting for you, 24/7. If you have wireless capabilities on your laptop computer, with our hotspot you can send/receive your e-mail and access the internet. The wireless hotspot is located at our Palatine, Illinois office. Whenever you are in our neighborhood we invite you to use our hotspot without charge. We are near routes 53 and 14 (Northwest Hwy) only 5-10 minutes from Woodfield area depending on traffic. Allied Administrators has announced the removal of the "decline question" from their Horizons Temporary Medical Product. Since the announcement sales of this product have gone through the roof. Remember to ask about their unique and easy to qualify STM commission bonus program. (April 2005)
